The recording is a formal interview with Zoltan (Zolti) Galambos, born 1923 in Vaja (Yiddish: Voyo). (Part 1 of 2. See MDV 118) (see also: MDV 119, Accession # 09-006.02-F MDV 109, and Accession # 09-009.01-F MDV 311) Zoltan is Latsi Galambos's brother. (see also: Accession # 09-006.01-F MDV 69,70,82) His father's birthname was Gross.

00:00:00 Galambos speaks about his yeshiva education. He also recites the lyrics of a Yiddish song about a "yeshive bokher" (yeshiva student). Galambos describes how he went "esn teyg" (join families for meals) at different homes and his daily study routine. Galambos attended yeshivot in Kisvárda (Yiddish: Kleynvardeyn) in 1936 and Putnok in 1935.

Galambos recalls how his mother read the megillah out loud to other women. Galambos then addresses different religious texts he studied in cheder and yeshiva.
